The stripping of organic films from the surfaces of metal parts is carried out by means of pyrolysis (thermal decomposition), which is a very progressive, efficient, low-cost and environmentally-friendly method. During the process of pyrolysis, owing to the heat, the paint or other organic coating is transformed into ashes, and thus there are no changes in the mechanical characteristics or dimensions of the treated parts.

This process of removing paint, grease and other organic contamination from steel parts is optimized via PLC control and does not harm the environment. At the same time, the process shows excellent quality results.

Thermal stripping is an effective substitute for the time-consuming process of stripping paint and coatings from metal constructions by means of mere sand blasting.

The cost of thermal stripping is lower than that of chemical stripping. That is why pyrolysis is the ideal method of eliminating thick layers of paint.

Pyrolysis is suitable for cleaning organic films from steel parts and, if certain conditions are met, from zinc-coated parts.

Thermal stripping is recommended especially when 

  • powder-coated, wet-painted or e-coated hooks, frames, jigs, grates or skids from paint shops have to be cleaned
  • there are defects in the coating of the part (reject parts)
  • the coating on the parts is old and unsatisfactory
  • parts of cars, motorcycles, machines, equipment etc. are to be repaired or modified

By means of pyrolysis, any organic coating (powder or wet paint, e-coating, plastics, rubber, binders, fillers, grease and other organic contaminants) can be eliminated. It is a very efficient method to

  • clean moulds and components of machines used in the plastics industry (sieves, nozzles, pump housings, conveying screws and extruder heads)
  • recycle stators and rotors of electric motors (elimination of insulation, binders and coatings from the motor housing)
  • eliminate singed grease or other organic films
  • loosen bonded joints.
