Sandblasting of stainless steel and non-ferrous metals is carried out with aluminium oxide and glass beads in a manual blast box. Fine abrasives are used here as well.

Stainless steel welded parts are first blasted with aluminium oxide to clean and unify the surface (mainly the surroundings of welds), and then the surface is polished with glass beads.
